The Prints

I make prints from either Hi-Rez drum scans, or shoot and produce digitally, processing and optimizing my images further using Lightroom and Photoshop. What I do to the original capture, whether film or digital, to express myself, is the same. How I do it with sheet film vs digital is entirely different. I print most of my “traditional” prints myself using a 44” Epson Printer and work with some of the best labs in the country to fulfill additional custom options.

All of my images are available for purchase, come signed with a Certificate of Authenticity (except 8 x 10's), and a story about the image. While I offer some “standard” sizes I’m more than happy to work with you to find the perfect custom size and presentation for the space you are looking to fill. If you are interested in options not mentioned I will try to fulfill your requests.

Prints are typically ready within 2 weeks and are shipped via USPS/UPS, which can take an additional to 1-2 weeks. Please note that I frequently travel which can influence the delivery time. Shipping charges and sales taxes may apply.

Digital Archival Prints - Printed By Me

I use state-of-the-art inkjet printers, archival pigmented ink, and coated archival paper, thus ensuring a beautiful and archival product. Given proper display and care, they will last well over a hundred years. These Prints are printed by me be in my facility.

The following “standard” print sizes are available and priced accordingly. Most custom sizes are available by special request. Not all images are available in all sizes. I will advise you on this, as always just contact me. Shipping and sales tax may apply.

  • 8 x 10 inches - $95.00 (digitally signed, certificate not included)

  • 11 x 14 inches - $650.00

  • 16 x 20 inches - $900.00

  • 20 x 24 inches - $1,200

  • 24 x 30 inches - $1,850

  • 30 x 45 inches - $3,000  Limited Edition of 20 plus 2 Artists Proofs in this size

  • 40 x 60 inches - $4,000  Limited Edition of 5 plus 2 Artists Proofs in this size

As images in various sizes sell, prices may increase for individual photographs. I reserve the right to limit the number produced and I would provide notice. From time to time I plan to have prints that will be a very limited edition plus a small number of artist's proofs.

Images are printed on the paper sizes listed. I.E., 16 x 20” prints are printed so that the photo will fit within 16 x 20” and allow for signature and date and enough border for proper over-matting. I usually allow for a bit over 1/2" on the sides and top, and a bit over 3/4" at the bottom to allow for the signature line. Other sizes would be proportionately printed to the above example.

Prices for Digital Archival Prints made by me normally include just the print.

Acrylic Prints

Acrylic prints have a very clean and modern finished look, offering a contemporary “frameless” style, thus highlighting the image and giving a sense of depth. This presentation is especially captivating with my larger prints.

Acrylic is bonded to an archival print and a backer of Dibond is applied to add rigidity. An aluminum subframe with mounting hardware is added so when hung, the print appears to float off the wall. These prints come ready to hang, are moisture resistant and can last a lifetime with a little care.

The following “standard” print sizes are available and priced accordingly. Most custom sizes are available by special request. Not all images are available in all sizes. I will advise you on this, as always just contact me. Shipping and sales tax may apply.

  • 11 x 14 inches - $750.00

  • 16 x 20 inches - $1,050

  • 20 x 24 inches - $1,420

  • 24 x 30 inches - $2,100

  • 30 x 40 inches - $3,400

  • 40 x 50 inches - $4,900

These prints are made custom to your desired size, available in thicknesses of 1/8″ and 1/4″, and priced accordingly.

Metal Prints

Lighter in weight than framed prints, metal prints come ready and easy to hang, offer a thinner presentation, and are scratch resistant.

These prints are made using specialized dyes applied directly to aluminum or DiBond. This process enhances the saturation and contrast of the images, they often seem to “pop off” the wall in a kind of 3D effect.

The following “standard” print sizes are available and priced accordingly. Most custom sizes are available by special request. Not all images are available in all sizes. I will advise you on this, as always just contact me. Shipping and sales tax may apply.

  • 11 x 14 inches - $725.00

  • 16 x 20 inches - $975.00

  • 20 x 24 inches - $1,320

  • 24 x 30 inches - $1,980

  • 30 x 40 inches - $3,200

Ilfochrome Prints

Ilfochrome prints, formerly known as Cibachrome, offer detailed clarity, color purity and almost feel like they are lit from within under appropriate lighting.

These prints are made on a dimensionally stable polyester base sealed by numerous layers of azo dyes, ensuring the print will not fade, deteriorate, or discolor for an extended time. This wet direct-positive process is done by only a very few labs.  Currently I only have one photograph done this way, which is Rock Formation, Arches.

These prints are made custom to your desired size and priced accordingly.

Advice Displaying Prints

Image quality and longevity is of utmost importance to me. Keep your prints out of direct sunlight and in average temperature and humidity conditions. Given proper display and care, your prints will last well over a 100+ years.

In regards to matting and framing, I suggest a sufficient amount of white matting, as to not cramp the image, and simple frames that won’t detract from the image itself. Ideally the image and the framing will greatly enhance its surroundings. Additionally, displaying prints in high quality specialized lighting truly makes them stand out.

I currently offer Omaha locals who purchase my prints a free of charge in-person consultation regarding lighting. Specifically, I will focus on what intensity values, color temperature, and beam spread can be used to optimize viewing my prints. This service is subject to my availability.
